BCHA was thrilled to be awarded the NatWest Excellence in Customer Service Award at the 2011 Dorset Business Awards.
The award set out to recognise an organisation that could demonstrate its commitment to providing the very highest level of customer service across its practices, and in doing so could be described as being truly customer focused. It proved a tough category this year with 29 entries from organisations across Dorset, which after a vigorous judging process was shortlisted to the three strongest entries, with BCHA being declared the overall winner.
BCHA have more than 40 years' experience of helping homeless and vulnerable people access the right housing, health, learning and work opportunities - providing a high standard of customer service while doing this is imperative to BCHA.
Carol Owen, BCHA Customer Services Manager, commented: "Winning this award is a fantastic achievement for BCHA and we hope that it will help to raise awareness within the business community about what we do and the services we offer.
"As a charitable organisation, BCHA aim to deliver excellent customer service in everything we do - whether it is dealing with someone at the front desk to giving a rough sleeper a bed for the night or handing someone the keys to their new property.
"Excellent customer service is highly regarded throughout the organisation. We would like to thank all BCHA staff for their commitment to excellent customer service and also thank SURF, our service users and residents forum, for their continued input into shaping our customer service philosophy and our services to meet our customer's needs."
Judge James Finch said: "BCHA is a worthy winner of this award due to their robust customer service standards. As a result of these standards, BCHA continually strive to improve the service that it provides with regular customer surveys, customer forums and accessible support staff.
"In their award entry, including customer and service user consultation, the company demonstrated all the required key attributes to win this award."
