The Wheelie Great Bike Store (WGBS) is calling for the people of Bournemouth to show their support to this new social enterprise, in celebration of Social Enterprise Day on 17th November.
The WGBS, located in the heart of Lansdowne, is an initiative of local social care and support provider, BCHA. It opened earlier this year and offers people the chance to buy reconditioned, serviced bikes at affordable prices. It is also an outlet for people to purchase new bikes and products for the growing skate and BMX scene in Bournemouth, including skateboards, longboards and clothing.
During the festive season, the WGBS is also stocking JD Bugs Pro Series Scooters - an ideal Christmas present for all ages! The scooters have been designed with free style and skate parks in mind, with a stable frame that can withstand the impact from jumps and other tricks. A wide range of scooter accessories will also be available at the store, so people can personalise their scooters.
The WGBS is a great addition to Bournemouth, reducing landfill, encouraging cycling for a healthier lifestyle and providing training, jobs and volunteer roles to complement Government unemployment initiatives. People are encouraged to check out the WGBS today and help them to continue to make a positive contribution to the local community.
For more information about the WGBS, or if people want to book their bike in for a service with the Cytech qualified bike mechanics, call 01202 310400.
