Pattern Changing - learning to break away from abuse

Pattern Changing is an educational course for women who are, or have been in an abusive relationship.  It is designed to help women understand domestic violence, how it has affected their life and how they can recognise their power and choices in life.

Some women will not be sure whether they are in an abusive relationship and may come along to help them decide.

The course runs for 13 weeks, with each session lasting approximately two hours.

The course aims to:

• Break the cycle of abuse.
• Break patterns of behaviour which lead to returning to an abusive partner or entering into another abusive relationship.
• Help women change negative long life patterns to positive patterns of their own.
• Enable women to receive support and encouragement to make these changes.

Once women have completed the course they are stronger and more positive.  They hold their heads up high and their general attitude is greatly improved.  They gain the confidence to go on and further their skills to enable them to reach their full potential and to enjoy life.

If you would like to find out more information about the course, and when the next one is being held, then please call 01823 282106.
