About Unity House
Unity House is a service providing accommodation and support for homeless people with complex needs in Wiltshire.
We provide accommodation for 15 homeless people, including five units for young people aged over 16. The units are designed to encourage shared living and peer support and are staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
There are also 6 self-contained training flats with low support to provide clients with a chance to experience independent living before moving on.
Our approach
Our ethos is to create an environment where people can take control of their own lives. We run a range of activities to improve residents' self-esteem and life chances. These include employability workshops, budgeting, cooking and IT skills.
As well as providing somewhere safe to live, we work with local agencies to enable residents to access support including drug and alcohol misuse, mental and physical health needs and community involvement.
Eligibility and referrals
To be eligible for Unity House, individuals must be homeless with support needs.
All potential residents will need to be referred into the service from an agency working with homeless people. Staff at Unity House work in close partnership with Wiltshire Housing Options teams to ensure fair access to the provision of services.
