Head of Development & Property Services

Location: Bournemouth

Salary £42,471 - £50,310 per annum
Salary is dependent upon qualifications and experience
37.5 hours per week

We are looking for an experienced Head of Development & Property Services to join our team.  Formulating and implementing our property development and reinvestment strategy, you will take responsibility for managing and developing our portfolio of freehold and leasehold properties, whilst also developing new and existing preferred partner arrangements, and maintaining our reputation for delivering outstanding customer service standards.

Substantial experience in the Housing/Property or building sector is required, with a proven track record in property acquisition and development.

Support Workers, Weymouth

Salary £15,288-£18,993 per annum
Salary is dependent upon qualifications and experience
37.5 hours per week – 7 days rotate shift pattern

Melcolmbe House provides 24-hour accommodation and support to individuals who have housing and support needs. Service users can access the service via a number of different avenues. Our team works with individuals to develop their skills to move back into independent living within the community.

Support is provided from project staff who assist individuals to develop their life skills and to address other issues, with the eventual aim of moving into less supported accommodation. A range of agencies is used to assist the scheme to meet its clients' objectives.

Our ideal applicant will have:

  • Previous experience working with this client group.
  • Ability to use your own initiative and also work effectively in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to use them effectively with a wide range of people
  • Be prepared to undertake a variety of administrative tasks and domestic duties.
  • Knowledge of BCHA's policies and procedures
  • A non-judgemental approach and a commitment to the values of the organisation.

On Duty Night Support Worker - Weymouth

Salary £ 5.80 per hour

Melcolmbe House is a mixed hostel providing 24-hour accommodation and supporting individuals with a wide variety of backgrounds who have housing and support needs. You will have experience of working in supported housing with vulnerable people who present with a wide range of needs, including mental health and or substance misuse. You will ensure the safety, security and wellbeing of the residents and premises at night, and to provide support as required. There are also administrative and housekeeping duties, such as food preparation, and domestic duties.

Your duties will include planning and co-ordinating activities, keeping records and logs up-to-date, preparing food and carrying out domestic tasks. Ideally, you will hold a relevant Level 2 or 3 NVQ qualifications, together with previous experience of carrying out assessments and working with external agencies.

Female Part Time Floating Support Worker - Bournemouth

Ref: FLSW

Salary: £16,029 to £18,993 p.a. pro rata, upon experience & qualifications.

20 hours

The Female Floating Support Worker will assess and identify our clients’ needs, offering support, advice and guidance in order to help them. This will involve supporting our residents to maintain their tenancy and to promote their independence. The post holder will need to be able to work with vulnerable people who have a wide range of needs including finance, budgeting and benefits, housing and resettlement, employment needs.

You will have excellent communication skills, ability to liaise with external agencies, knowledge of benefits/housing systems. You also have the ability to work on your own initiative, flexible and able to undertake some housing management duties. Female Part-time Support Worker

You will assist in the running of the Refuge and provide supervision and support our clients. The role of the support worker is to provide practical support and assistance to vulnerable women and children to prepare them to return to the community. Female Waking Night Worker – Bournemouth

70 hours - job share

£82.20 per night – 10 hours shift

The Night Worker is responsible for ensuring the overnight security and safety of residents and the building, as well as ensuring you will deal with any emergencies that arise.

You will have experience of working with a vulnerable client group and an understanding of the issues surrounding domestic violence.
