Brian Swann is director of Operations and Partnerships at BCHA.
Brian joined BCHA in 1996 as manager of Lansdowne Gardens, which was then a direct access hostel. He later took responsibility for all supported provision, and helped to establish learning, floating support and community support services.
Brian is now Director of Operations and Partnerships, with overall responsibility for services for: children, families and young people; and homelessness, substance misuse and ex-offender services. He is also director of Hyped.
Before joining BCHA, Brian worked for the NHS including Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge – a major teaching hospital with over 1,200 bed spaces.
Brian is vice-chair and trustee of Dorset Reclaim, which he chaired for five years – and is a trustee of Age Concern and a director of Age Concern Trading.
Brian is passionate about social issues, current affairs and organisations that work with disadvantaged people. He also retains a strong interest in all sports.
