We can help you begin to build stability and health, one piece at a time. If you are in Bournemouth area and want help to cut down or stop drinking altogether, the first step is to get a triage or assessment from the Bournemouth Assessment Team. This can be done via your GP, a key worker or floating support worker if you have access to one. If you do not have access to these services you can come to the day centre at St Paul’s hostel and see a member of staff who can refer you. Other services in the area can offer access to triages, their details can be found in the local support directory. The Bournemouth Assessment Team (BAT) is the central service for the Bournemouth area, anyone wishing to enter in to treatment for alcohol misuse is referred to this service. Once you have been triaged they will offer you an appointment to come in and have a comprehensive assessment, this will involve looking at the right treatment options for you. Once this is done they will devise a care plan with you that will best address your needs. The assessor will refer you to a structured treatment provider depending on your requirements; the assessor will continue to take an active role in your care throughout your treatment and aftercare. Details of other support services such as alcoholics anonymous can be found in the local support directory. | Support for getting cleanClick here, if you’re looking for help with drugs use Harm minimisationClick here to get some health basics Local support directoryClick here to find out who else can help Support at homeClick here to get a little help wherever you are The National Drugs StrategyClick here to learn about the government outlines |
