2. Don’t be afraid to ask, the more people you ask, the more you will raise. Ask friends, family, neighbours, teachers - everyone you know and everyone your family knows.
-
3. Many companies match fund money raised for charity by their staff.
-
-
4. Set yourself a challenge that people will sponsor you for and start your sponsorship form with a generous sponsor as this will set a high standard for the rest. Try to get payment up front to halve the effort.
-
-
5. Online fundraising is an easy way to reach people you don’t see everyday and a link to your online page can be sent to your face book contacts. Set this up on Virgin Money Giving and choose BCHA as your chosen charity.
-
-
6. Hold an event, ask for donations to attend or charge a fixed sum for attending and hold a raffle to boost your fundraising, eg coffee morning, afternoon tea, dinner party, BBQ, quiz night etc.
-
-
7. Have a clear out and sell unwanted items on e-bay or at a car boot sale. Ask friends and family if they have items that you could sell.
-
-
8. Organise a dress down day or a fancy dress day at work or school.
-
-
9. Ask friends and family if they will donate in return for you doing odd jobs for them eg ironing or mowing the lawn.
-
-
10. The most important thing is to tell everyone what you are doing and why and before you know it you will have reached your target.
Thank you for your support - together we can make a big difference to someone's life!
