SURF has had lots of successes since the first meeting in 2003. Here is just a summary.- Regular SURF committee meetings - including requesting attendance of BCHA staff.
- Sitting on interview panels for new BCHA staff.
- Organising social events (eg annual Christmas and summer parties).
- Setting up 5-a-side football teams - runner-up in Southampton Homelessness Partnership tournament.
- Nominated for Nationwide Community and Heritage Award 2008.
- Attending Bournemouth Housing Forum.
- Sitting on BCHA committees, sitting on BCHA board and attending BCHA board awaydays.
- Training (eg first aid,
- Visiting BCHA schemes and providing feedback.
- Conducting mystery shopping.
- Acquiring SURF's own office in Boscombe.
- Commenting on BCHA policies (eg bad debt, anti-social behaviour and others).
- Promoting SURF with quarterly rent statements.
- Organised service user photo competition for BCHA / Mears calendar.
