BCHA Leadership Group Come Together to Discuss Annual Priorities

On Wednesday 8 June the BCHA Leadership Group came together at BCP Council's Branksome Dene Room to discuss the annual priorities and how we can further improve the employee experience. The views across the coastline from Old Harry's Rocks to Hengistbury Head were a great inspiration and the weather allowed us to do some activities outside in the fresh sea air.

Almost at the half way point in our 5 year Business Plan, it was an important moment to celebrate the successes we've had and to firm up our priorities for the coming year. To guide the organisation, the Board and Exec Team have agreed four overarching themes for the year:

  • Every Contact Counts
  • Getting the Basics Right
  • Putting the Heart in our Homes
  • Being Smarter
These reflect our commitment to the principles of Psychologically Informed Environments and the importance we place on achieving better outcomes for customers.

The leadership group spent half of the day reflecting on what more can be done to improve the employee experience at BCHA. It's been a difficult few years for everyone and the current cost of living crisis is adding further pressure to many. Using a collaborative problem solving technique, the leadership group were able to reflect on what is working well currently and discuss ideas for doing even more.

The Away Day was facilitated by Susannah Brade-Waring of Aspirin and Laura Jump, Director of Change, Transformation and Growth, bringing together 15 leaders from across the full spectrum of BCHA's work.
