BCHA would like to give a warm welcome to Chris George, our new Assistant Director of Asset and Repairs, who will be heading up all of the asset and repairs activity for BCHA. As a crucial part of our customer experience, we are excited Chris has joined BCHA bringing with him over 30 years’ experience of working in social housing and social care with both local authorities and housing associations in repairs, maintenance, asset management and compliance.

His career has seen him progress from Group Asset Director at Selwood Housing to later becoming Director of Property for a specialist care company, showcasing his unwavering dedication to delivering a first-class repairs and maintenance service for organisations with a social purpose.

In addition to his wealth of experience and expertise, Chris is also extremely passionate about keeping customers at the heart of his work by involving them in all aspects of service delivery.

Therefore we are excited that he is a great fit for BCHA, combining technical expertise with an understanding of our values as an organisation, and a dedication to our mission of ending homelessness.

Lorraine Mealings, CEO said “We are so pleased to now have Chris on the team. One of our key priorities over the coming year is to make sure our property portfolio provides the very best homes for our customers. There has been much coverage in the national press reminding all housing associations about the importance of maintaining good quality homes and this remains a top priority for us”.

We look forward to seeing Chris settle in and become part of the team at BCHA, helping ensure all homes are safe for our community of customers.
