All Being Well begins at Boscombe Engagement Hub on September 18th and comprises five modules: Mental Health and Wellbeing, Healthy Lifestyles and a Balanced Diet, Understanding and Managing Stress, Building Confidence and Self Esteem and Money Matters.
The six-week course takes place over one day a week and participants completing the programme will also be awarded a NOCN Level 1 qualification in Personal Wellbeing.
Course Tutor Mark Shaw said: “All Being Well offers a holistic approach to improving your health and personal, social and general wellbeing. This, in turn builds confidence and can help participants to move in a positive direction, or provide a stepping stone into volunteering or employment.”
BCHA Learn is the employability arm of the charitable housing trust BCHA.
All Being Well is being run in partnership with BCP Skills & Learning Adult Education.
The five course modules will all be taught in small, friendly groups, at a relaxed pace.
Participants will also be offered a free Health MOT from a local NHS practitioner.
Mark said: “Whether you would like to use the course as a gentle way to get back on track, or as a helpful route into work, we look forward to hearing from you.”
Anyone aged 19 plus and resident in BCP can attend All Being Well. Half of travel expenses will be paid and participants will also be offered a free loaded SIM card.
