NCS looking for charity and community group projects

Invitation for local groups to attend NCS fayre

The NCS (National Citizen Service) is inviting local Social Action Projects, Charity or Community Organisations to its Volunteering and Social Action Fayre on Friday 12th August to pitch projects for the 15 - 17-year-olds to volunteer and help with.

This summer NCS have over 350 young people from across Dorset completing the scheme with BCHA in two separate batches and they are looking for more Social Action Projects that groups of 15 young people can undertake together over the course of a week, such as painting a community centre, designing and revamping a community garden, conservation, fundraising etc.

If you have a Social Action Project that you think may be suitable and you would like to ‘pitch’ it to the young people then please get in touch!

We would also like to hear from you, if you have voluntary opportunities that are suitable for young people aged 16 plus, that you would like to promote at either of the events.

The fayre takes place Friday 12th August from 10 am - 12.30 pm at Citygate Church, 138 Holdenhurst Rd, Bournemouth BH8 8BQ and to book your place, please complete and return the booking form to Dom Weir (NCS Youth Worker) at BCHA - Email: NCS@bcha.org.uk

You can also download a Stall Holders Guide here.

If you have any questions, please contact Dom on 01202 410563 / 07966808836
