Board Members Wanted

BCHA is recruiting for Treasurer and Board Members.

BCHA is looking for motivated individuals to join our group Board of Management which sets our strategies, monitors performance and ensures that BCHA delivers high quality services, in a challenging, fast-changing environment.

We are currently recruiting for:

 TREASURER

We are keen to hear from people with significant current or recent senior level experience in:

  • organisational financial management (CCAB or equivalent qualification essential)

Ideally this experience would be from the social housing or not-for-profit sector although candidates from the private sector with a strong commitment to delivering our social mission may wish to apply.

GENERAL BOARD MEMBERS

We are keen to hear from people with significant current or recent senior level experience in:

  • the management of social housing (CIH or similar qualification desirable) who will also have a sound understanding of business management.

ABOUT THESE ROLES

For both roles, we actively encourage applications from women, people from ethnic minorities, and people who consider themselves to be disabled.

As a charitable organisation, BCHA board membership is unpaid, but out of pocket expenses can be reimbursed.

In addition to a commitment to attend bi-monthly board meetings (weekday evenings, Bournemouth), members are also expected to join at least one sub-committee, attend two away days per year and develop a strong understanding of the business by visiting our services. Additional training sessions and meetings are held as required.

If you are interested in joining our Board, have the skills required to make a difference, and can fulfil the time commitment, please contact the Company Secretary for further details or an application pack on: companysecretary@bcha.org.uk
