European Social Funding has been invested in a programme of support for young people in Dorset to get into work, education and training.
The Skills for Young People project which is open to participants aged 15-24 who are at risk of or, already, not in education, employment or training (NEET). The programme will focus on those who are at risk of social exclusion and young people from marginalised communities.
A typical learner journey will consist of:
- An Initial Assessment supported by individual learning plan
- A range of learning activity including accredited courses and workshops
- 1:1 support
- Progression into a range of sustainable outcomes: Employment, education, volunteering & apprenticeships
The programme is for individuals aged 15 – 24 who are Not in Employment, Education or Training (NEETs) and legally resident in England and Wales. This will need to be confirmed before starting the programme.
