Domestic abuse

We can help you find support

Domestic abuse is when someone in a close relationship with you behaves in a way that causes you physical, mental, or emotional damage. Domestic abuse doesn't have to be physical violence – domestic abuse includes any incident of threatening behaviour. The abuse can be psychological, physical, social, financial or emotional.

One in four women, and one in six men, will be affected by domestic abuse in their lifetime. If you are experiencing domestic abuse, don’t suffer in silence – BCHA can help you.

We provide a number of services throughout Bournemouth, Poole and Dorset, helping people to find the courage they need to leave an abusive situation. If you’re experiencing domestic abuse we can provide you with the support you need to regain your confidence and rebuild your life.
